BULGARIA
Lastly, in September (10th to the 17th, seven nights) we are planning a return to the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. Our local ground agents showed their skill at both organising trips and finding birds in 2007, and they assure us that the Black Sea coast is even better for birds in the autumn. Expect lots of raptors and a trip list close to 170 species. £795 plus flights (no SRS). British Airways now offers a direct flight from London Gatwick to Varna on the Black Sea coast. The prices were very reasonable in 2007.

Notes

• At this stage all the 2008 dates are provisional, depending on flights.
• Where possible the dreaded single room supplement has been abolished.
• All Gourmet Birds trips in Europe include wine at lunch and dinner.
• The maximum group size for any of these trips is eight people, plus leader (David). The minimum required to ensure the holiday runs is usually two.
• We do not arrange flights, but can give as much help as required with Internet bookings.
